Moomba Festival 2017

Location: Alexandra Gardens , St Kilda Road
This Festival takes place during the Labour Day long weekend with a program of free events and activities that celebrate the city. Treat yourself to jam-packed days of carnival rides and games, kids’ activities, water sports, a roller disco, a puppet garden and a fireworks display every night. Also, enjoy performances by local musicians, skate, BMX comps, a cubby village and delicious food. Don't miss the outstanding Moomba Masters Championship; the wacky and wonderful Birdman Rally on Sunday and, of course, the iconic Moomba Parade on the Monday.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Location: Melbourne Town Hall and various venues throughout the city
If you enjoy comedy, then you are invited to join Melbourne’s yearly party, the International Comedy Festival. The festival takes over Australia’s comedy capital of Melbourne and features local and international comedy stars. There is an enormous program of stand-up comedy, cabaret, theatre, street performance, film, television, radio and visual arts. Since most of the acts are held at Melbourne Town Hall, the event not only popular but also easily accessible.

The Human Rights Arts & Film Festival is a non-profit and independent arts organization that explores diverse and inspiring human stories through film, art, music and forums. This annual event is meant to inspire and engage audiences on human rights issues.
