Posted by ftaylor on 04 December 2018
Schools out and so is the sunshine in Sydney. It’s the perfect time of year to get out and about with the kids and make the most of this beautiful city.
Museums & Learning
If history and learning is what you are looking for you can get a Sydney Museums pass for entry to 12 historic houses and museums, spend a day exploring the ships at The Australian Maritime Museum or learn about the unlikely story of the Sydney Opera House on a tour.
Nature & Marine Life
For animal lovers there’s an abundance of choice from zoo’s and wildlife parks to the aquarium. In Darling Harbour you can visit both WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium for a nature packed day or take in the sights of the city as the giraffes see it from the iconic Taronga Zoo.
To get them moving there are plenty of scenic coastal walks such as the Bondi to Coogee walk and Spit to Manly walk as well as the National Parks if you want to make a day of it. If you want to combine exercise with a little bit of history why not join a Walking Tour of the Rocks.
Fun & Adrenaline
Just wanting to have some fun? How about checking out the Sydney Aquatic Centre for a swim, slide and River Rapid ride or cool off from the summer sun on an exhilarating and very wet Oz Jet Boat ride around Sydney harbour!
A bit further out of the city you can enjoy a day of exploration, check out Australia's most awe-inspiring cave systems, Jenolan Caves, or head to Katoomba and be taken around the top sights on the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus.
