    What to expect

Diamond Head is Hawaii’s most famous landmark, you will not want to miss this exquisite hike. Travel from inside a crater to the top of the summit to marvel at the stunning views of Waikiki, Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean. This self-guided narrated audio tour not only has incredible views but also the chance to travel through man-made tunnels as long as 225-feet and the chance to see authentic WWII cannon bunkers.

    Things to look out for

When you reach the summit, you’ll see bunkers and a huge navigational lighthouse built in 1917. The educational tour will teach you all about these sights, making sure you leave with a glimpse into the fascinating geological and military history of Diamond Head.

Don't forget your camera so that you can take some scenic photos and a selfie of the amazing view at the top of Diamond Head!

    Helpful Tips

This hike will take you approximately 1.5-2 hours, with the last 1/10th Mile consisting of especially steep stairs. Make sure you wear good walking shoes, bring water and wear a hat and sunscreen.

The park facilities on the crater floor of Diamond Head are fully accessible to those with disabilities. The hiking trail to the summit is not ADA accessible, it is very steep and uneven in some areas.

This tour is available in English and Japanese.
