What to expect

One of the must-see attractions when visiting London is Madame Tussauds. Since opening 200 years ago, millions of visitors have flocked to the doors of Madame Tussauds - making the wax museum one of London’s top tourist attractions year after year. These days, Madame Tussauds is much more than a collection of wax mannequins with at least 14 interactive areas to experience throughout the museum.

Things to look out for

With more than 300 wax figures to see, ranging from A-list celebrities and world leaders to music stars and sports personalities, there’s a lot to see. Interactive highlights include the Spirit of London, an amusement park-style black cab ride through 400 years of London history and the Scream Experience - a chamber of horrors with unexpected floor drops and terrifying special effects.

A recent new addition is the Marvel Superheroes 4D movie experience, sure to be a big hit with the kids, who will get a chance to find out what it’s like to have Spiderman's superpowers. The Stars Wars area will appeal to both young and old. Here, you’ll get the chance to explore the Swamps of Dagobad, visit the flight deck of the Millennium Falcon or get a selfie with Darth Vader.

Of particular interest for James Bond fans will be the display of all six 007s in one place!

Helpful Tips

Madame Tussauds is one of the most visited attractions in London. Book early to avoid disappointment, especially if you’re planning to visit on the weekend or on a bank holiday. You have 90 minutes to explore after last admission.

Getting there by underground is easy. The museum is well signposted from Baker Street tube station, just two minutes’ walk away on the Bakerloo, Circle, Jubilee, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines. Or, if it’s more convenient, you could simply hop on any number of London buses including the 13, 18, 27, 30, 74, 82, 113, 139, 189, 205, 274 and 453 bus. Few attractions are so easy to get to.

Be aware that guests aged 13 or younger must be accompanied by someone aged over 16. The attraction is fully accessible for disabled visitors.

Look out for new, upcoming attractions, such as Alien: Escape, based on the movie franchise set to launch summer 2017.

And don’t forget your camera for that must-have selfie with your favourite celebrity!
