St. Patrick’s Day

Location: Central London
London hosts fun and spectacular events every year to mark the day. The three-day celebration in London begins on March 17 and culminates in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Central London where you will find elaborate floats, marching bands from across the UK, sports clubs and Irish dancing. The Trafalgar Square Festival is held on March 19th and features Irish performances such as choirs and comedy and you will also find traditional Irish food. In addition, there are plenty of other Irish events held throughout the weekend.

From Easter egg hunts to performances, from chocolate to an interactive family attraction, there is something for everyone to enjoy during Easter weekend. Enjoy river themed activities and fireworks at the Tall Ships Regatta. Watch the Living Stations for free in the Trafalgar Square. State Opening of Parliament 2017

Location: The Mall and Whitehall
Watch the Queen travel in the traditional carriage procession to Westminster to open the new parliamentary session. The State Opening Parliament is the most important event in the parliamentary calendar. The century-old ceremony takes place in the House of Lords where the Queen reads a speech which outlines the agenda for the coming year. Join the throngs of spectators as the procession makes its way along The Mall and Whitehall, before heading to the Houses of Parliament. Spot the Queen and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, in the horse-led coach, escorted by the Household Cavalry.
