What to expect

Enjoy the unique local character of Bangrak, or the 'Village of Love' at night! This neighbourhood has some of the best Thai food in the city and we'll have you tasting it as we stroll down the streets and take you to our favourite spots.

Things to look out for

Nestled next to the Chao Praya or “River of Kings”, Bangrak is one of the most historic neighborhoods in the Big Mango. “Bang” in Thai means Village and “Rak” means Love—as such, you may hear Bangrak referred to as the “Village of Love”. There are other theories on how this area got its name. It is also said that the name came from the Thai word, 'raksa' or 'to care for.' This is because of the large number of hospitals in the area.

Tour starts at 6:30 pm and lasts for 3.5 to 4 hours. Starting point is in Saphan Taksin BTS Station, at the bottom of the stairs of Exit 2 and it ends at Surasak BTS Station.

Helpful Tips

We recommend shorts and light shirts as well as comfortable walking shoes. Tour takes place rain or shine. We recommend bringing an umbrella and a sense of adventure in case the clouds break. Some of our most fun moments have been in the rain!
