Description
Stand up paddle boarding, or SUP, as it’s known, is the fastest growing sport in the world. At SUP Cape Town, this thrilling combination of surfing and kayaking is hosted along the city’s most vibrant waterfronts at three locations. Rent a board and cruise the canals to combine sightseeing with a total body workout. Trained instructors give you a short introductory lesson to ensure you understand the basics and ensure you’re in and out of the water safely. Afterwards, you can enjoy this casual but exhilarating sport.The three locations you can choose from are the V&A Waterfront, the CTICC and Intaka Island. Alternatively, you may head out to the open sea and join the Clifton beach SUP crowd. If you come on Thursday, you can join the local SUP community for evening experiences.
Make sure you wear clothes that can get wet, as well as plenty of sunscreen, a hat and a change of clothes.
Please keep in mind that this service is weather dependent, especially in the cooler months.
