Imagine being able to go on an expedition to see adorable penguins in a sub-Antarctic environment without ever having to leave Australia!

The SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium will be opening the World’s first penguin exhibit with a ride in November 2016. Inspired by Macquarie Island – located in the southwest Pacific Ocean - the Penguin Island Expedition ride will take the explorer on an incredible sensory journey to meet the aquarium’s adorable colony of King and Gentoo penguins.

The Penguin Island Expedition will create an explorer out of each and every guest as they travel in a raft through a rugged, sub-Antarctic environment at 6 degrees Celsius. The voyage will take place through a recreation of the penguins’ home and include magical snow flurries, whistling winds and southern lights! What a great way to feel like you actually are meeting the penguins in their natural habitat!

After the voyage, visitors will learn about the SEA LIFE Sydney’s penguin breeding programme from the researchers at Macquarie Island Explorer Hut. Visitors will also learn about the programme's work to protect the island from plastic pollution and what they can do to help conserve Macquarie Island.

The best part?   Entrance to the Penguin Island Expedition and all penguin trainer talks are included in the general admission ticket, redeemable with a Sydney iVenture Card Package (Sydney.iventurecard.com)!

Mark your calendars to visit this amazing experience at SEA LIFE Aquarium Sydney in November 2016
