What to expect
Casa de les Punxes is one of the most emblematic buildings in Barcelona, it is key to understanding Catalan art nouveau. The monument was built in 1905 by the architect Puig i Cadafalch, and it was comissioned by the Terradas family. The building has been closed ever since its construction, but was opened to the public in 2016 after it went rehabilitation.
Things to look out for
Located in the intersection between Rosselló and Bruc streets and the Avinguda Diagonal, the house was designed for former football player and FC Barcelona president Bartomeu Terradas Brutau's sisters. The structure features six pointed towers similar to old medieval castles, which was how it got its name. Aside from its remarkable exterior, there are other design elements worth seeing inside the building such as the stone decors and stained glass windows made by various Catalan craftsmen.

This tour comes with an audio guide where you will learn more about the history behind the structure and the story behind its design.
