Midsumma Festival is a queer arts and cultural festival celebrating the work of LGBTQIA+ communities. Throughout the city streets there will be parades and events such as dances, electric music and sport competitions. White Night
 Throughout the City
Feb 17
On this night in Melbourne, many city streets are open only for pedestrians, from 7pm to 7am, and the famous Flinders Street Station is transformed into amphitheatre hosting a free concert in the dark. More than 100 local and international artists perform that night. In parallel, many activities and shows are held in thirty sites in the city centre.
Moomba Festival
 Alexandra Gardens, St Kilda Road
March 10-13
This Festival takes place during the Labour Day long weekend with a program of free events and activities that celebrate the city. Treat yourself to jam-packed days of carnival rides and games, kids’ activities, water sports, a roller disco, a puppet garden and a fireworks display every night. Also, enjoy performances by local musicians, skate, BMX comps and delicious food. Don't miss the outstanding Moomba Masters Championship; the wacky and wonderful Birdman Rally on Sunday and, of course, the iconic Moomba Parade on the Monday.
