Avontuur Estate is all about great wine and gorgeous views. Set against the stunning Helderberg Mountains and overlooking False Bay, Table Mountain and Cape Point there’s scenery in every direction. Here, you can enjoy a self-guided walk around the farm and experience the paddocks, vineyards and spectacular views.A detailed map is provided, and you are free to roam at your own pace. Afterwards, relax in the cosy tasting room or on the terrace, and taste three of Avontuur’s award-winning wines, presented by expert tasting room staff. When you leave, you receive a complimentary bottle of the estate’s hugely popular Cabernet/Merlot to take home and enjoy at your leisure.
Avontuur Estate grows four white grape and seven red grape cultivars. The wines cover three ranges: the Vintner’s Range for easy drinking; the Estate Range, a more quality wine; and the Premiere Range, their flagship, which reflects the best the winemaker can produce each year. Most of the wines in the flagship range are named after the estate’s top horses.
