Poble Espanyol

Feel the soul of Spain: admire traditional architecture, buy local craftsmanship and enjoy traditional food - all this can be found in Poble Espanyol, the charming open-air museum at the foot of Montjuïc in Barcelona. A total of 117 buildings from various regions of the country were recreated in this beautiful park on the occasion of the 1929 World's Fair. Visitors can stroll through the complex in a relaxed atmosphere, immersing themselves in the authentic Spanish way of life.

Located within walking distance from the fountain of Montjuïc, the Poble Espanyol is best known for its depiction of what a typical Spanish village looks like in different regions. Enjoy the beautiful architecture as you stroll around the premises. Within the village, you can also visit the Museum Fran Daurel which features almost 300 works from famous artists including Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali.

Check out the work of craftsmen such as glass blowers and basket weavers for your souvenirs. Better yet, take one of the workshops to learn a new hobby or two. There are also restaurants and bars that that serve Spanish gastronomy.
